Ribbon Cutting Event in Madison
These 3-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot units represent what happens when vision, collaboration, and craftsmanship come together.
KPH was honored to partner with the City of Madison and the Community Development Authority to transform an underutilized site into townhomes that truly meet the needs of working families. "From the first day on site, we knew this wasn’t just about putting up walls and roofs — it was about creating high-quality, welcoming homes that would stand the test of time," said Keith Harenda, KPH President and CEO.

KPH took great care to ensure the design and build quality reflected the input of the Theresa Terrace community, city leaders, and the CDA. These six new townhomes, each more than 2,000 square feet with three bedrooms, are built to be durable, efficient, and comfortable. Just as importantly, they’re designed to complement the existing streetscape, proving that affordable housing can be both attractive and an asset to its surroundings.

"We wanted to prove you could build town homes in a neighborhood like this, and that they would look good and that people would want to live in them, and that they would fit right in with the neighborhood." — Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway

From energy-efficient construction practices to thoughtful layout choices that maximize space and natural light, every decision was made with the future homeowners in mind. KPH's philosophy of multi-family housing is that well-built homes create stability, and stability creates stronger communities. These homes will remain permanently affordable for families earning up to 60% of Dane County’s Area Median Income, helping to ensure that more Madison residents have a chance to build equity and put down roots.

KPH Construction is proud to have been part of a project that demonstrates what’s possible in Madison’s housing future: small, impactful changes that bring new life to a neighborhood and open doors for more families. The Theresa Terrace ribbon cutting wasn’t just the celebration of a construction project’s completion — it was the beginning of a new chapter for the families who will call these homes their own, and for a city committed to making housing more inclusive and accessible.
