While working at the 128th Air Refueling Wing, KPH crews will all be wearing custom hardhat badges to commemorate the construction of the new Indoor Gun Range located within the secure confines of the base.
The flying stein is a symbol of historical unity and mission focus dating back to 1963, reflecting the wing’s nickname, Brew City Tankers. The badges themselves signify that each worker wearing it has completed safety training for the project. At KPH, we’re equally proud of our safety standards.
The flying stein was recently painted on the aircraft tail pf the command jet at the 128th. U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Elizabeth Cywinski, the 128th Air Refueling Wing aircraft structural maintenance supervisor, explains in this
video the efforts that went into painting the command jet last summer. (Video credit: U.S. Air National Guard video by Master Sgt. Lauren Kmiec)
